Victor J. Landi, resident of Fishkill, New York formerly of the Bronx entered into eternal rest on Thursday, January 21, 2021 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, New York. Son of the late Victor and Millie (Basso) Landi and the beloved son-in-law of the late Jeremiah and Muriel McArdle, he was born September 22, 1944 in New York City. He married the former Christene M. McArdle on June 24, 1972 in the Bronx, New York. Vic worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation for 27 years until his retirement in 2000. Vic spent his adult life volunteering as a member of the New York City Police Auxiliary, the Edgewater Park Volunteer Fire Department in the Bronx, New York and was the Fire Police Captain of the Rombout Fire Department until his death. In addition to his wife, he was the devoted father of Sharon (Jason) Durham, the late Robert V. (Tricia) Landi. He was the devoted grandfather of Olivia, Alisa, Samantha and Joseph. He was the beloved brother of the late Ronald (Annette) Landi, the late Kenneth (Kathleen) Landi, the late Michael Landi and Gary Landi. He was the beloved brother-in-law of Gail (Bob) Lares, Jeraldene (Edward) Callahan, John McArdle, Daria McArdle, Denise (Terrence) McDermott, Muriel (Michael) Dorian, Jerry (Maureen) McArdle, Robert (Debbie) McArdle, Richard (Eileen) McArdle, Kevin (Christine) McArdle, Kenneth McArdle. He is also survived by many nephews and nieces that are too many to mention, but were loved and admired by their uncle. Funeral arrangements are private.
