Dorothy A. Owen of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Saturday, September 3, 2022. She was 91.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Ella (Hamber) Engel, she was born on September 13, 1930 in Brooklyn. She married Donald W. Owen, Sr. on October 13, 1955 at Zion Episcopal Church in Wappingers Falls; Mr. Owen preceded her in death, passing on November 22, 2001.

Dorothy spent her years making a warm and loving home for her husband and two sons. In her spare time she loved to read romance novels. She was also an avid Mets and Giants fan. Dorothy was known for keeping in regular touch with her many family and friends with her weekly phone calls.

Survivors include her sons, Donald W. Owen, Jr. (Irene) of Monroe Township, NJ and Daniel J. Owen (Bridget McNulty) of Stanfordville; brothers, Peter Helfrich (Marilyn) of Middletown and Robert Engel of West Palm Beach, FL; grandchildren, Darby Owen and Donald W. Owen, III; and several nieces and nephews.

Interment took place in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Fishkill.
