Obituary of Kyle W. Pennington

Kyle William Pennington passed unexpectedly on March 12, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

He was born on October 16, 1970, to William and Patricia Pennington in Poughkeepsie, NY.  He is survived by his father, William R. Pennington, of Wappingers Falls and his sisters Terry Pennington of Huntingtown, MD and Tracy Pennington of Ventura, CA.  Kyle graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School and SUNY Albany.  Upon graduation, he worked mainly in retail.  Many knew him at Media Play and later, as the manager of Sherwin Williams in Wappingers Falls.  He had just began work at Lowes where he had a fatal heart attack.

Kyle traveled considerably with his family in the US, Latin America, and Europe.  He had a love of exploration and travel.  He traveled the entire lower 48 states, visiting family and friends for 48 days in his 48th year.

Kyle was an game inventor, avid reader, writer, actor, director, editor, and adventurer.

Kyle loved playing games and spending time with his many life-long friends.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, March 17, 2025 at 1pm at the Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Section R.
