Obituary of Kelly Anne Seymour
Kelly Anne Seymour, a beloved resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 4, 2025, at the age of 62. She was lovingly welcomed into the arms of her Savior.
Born on May 18, 1962, in Poughkeepsie, Kelly was the daughter of the late James G. and Barbara A. (McGrath) Ferris. In 1982, she married John J. Seymour, III, who survives her at their home in Wappingers Falls.
Kelly spent many years working alongside her husband at Seymour Major Appliance Repair in Wappingers Falls. Outside of her work, she had a deep love for the outdoors, enjoying camping, motorcycle riding, and treasured time at the beach during family vacations.
In addition to her devoted husband, Kelly is survived by her daughter, Shannon Miller and her husband Tom; her cherished grandchildren, Paisley and Brooke; her brothers, John Ferris and Jay Ferris; and several nieces and nephews, all of whom will miss her dearly.
Kelly was a friend to all who met her. With her infectious smile and a heart of gold, she brightened every room she entered. Her kindness, generosity, and warmth touched the lives of everyone she knew. Kelly’s presence was a blessing, and her absence will leave a profound void in the hearts of those who loved her. She will be forever remembered with love and affection by her family and friends.
She was truly an angel here on earth, spreading love and light wherever she went. Now, she joins the angels in heaven, where her spirit will continue to shine brightly. While she will be dearly missed, we find comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye, but rather, we will see you when we get there.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 at Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, South Avenue in Poughkeepsie.
