Judith Lomino

Obituary of Judith Lomino

Judith “Judy” Lomino was born in Brooklyn on February 2, 1938 at Israel Zion Hospital to parents Agnus and Samuel. Judy was the oldest of three siblings, Robert and Laura. Judy lived in Manhattan for the first few years of her life before she moved up to the Hudson Valley in 1942, where she resided for the remainder of her days.

Judy was a warm and wonderful soul whose presence was a true gift to everyone fortunate enough to know her. A lover of life’s simple joys and deep connections, Judy’s journey took her through several places around the region before she finally found her forever home—nestled in the peaceful beauty of the apple orchards in Milton, NY. There, she spent her retirement years surrounded by four dear friends who, over time, became her chosen family.

Those years brought Judy some of her greatest joys, especially the chance to reconnect with her beloved brother. Their time together was full of love, he had a way of making her smile like few others could.

Judy had an easygoing nature and a gentle spirit. She didn’t always express her feelings with words, but her touch spoke volumes. A simple gesture—a soft, manicured hand reaching out to hold yours—left no doubt about how much she valued your presence. She found real happiness in being around others and truly believed in the power of human connection.

She loved the comfort of quiet moments: sipping a good cup of coffee, lost in thought, enjoying music that moved her, or getting swept up in an afternoon of Lifetime movies. These were the small pleasures that made her smile.

Judy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Ms. Judy is survived by her brother Robert, his wife Mary, and a wide circle of extended family and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts always.
