With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of Dolores Peralta, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, who left this world peacefully on April 25, 2025, at the age of 74.

Born in the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, Dolores carried the spirit of her homeland in everything she did — in her warmth, her strength, and her immense love for her family. A woman of quiet resilience and limitless compassion, she built a life filled with faith, joy, and selfless devotion to others.

Dolores was known for her generous heart and her incredible ability to make everyone feel loved and welcome. Her home was always open, her table always full, and her arms always ready to embrace those in need. She was deeply proud of her heritage, often sharing the traditions, stories, and flavors of Ecuador with those she loved most.

Beyond her deep love for her family, Dolores found her greatest joy in her Catholic faith. Her devotion to

La Virgen del Cisne was the light that guided each step of her life. She lived her faith with humility and joy, teaching by example — with patience, kindness, and an unwavering spirit of prayer and trust in God.

Dolores is survived by her daughter Silvia Peralta, her son-in-law Juan Pizarro, her grandchildren Brayan, Janice, and Josue, as well as many other cherished relatives and friends. She is reunited in eternal peace with her mother Rosa Peralta, and her brother Arturo Peralta.

Her wake will be held on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM, and a mass in celebration of her life will take place on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Saint Mary’s Church in Wappingers, where we will gather to honor her memory and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind.

Though our hearts are broken, we are grateful for the countless memories, lessons, and love that Dolores shared with us. Her spirit lives on in every life she touched — in every act of kindness, every story told, every prayer whispered, and every family gathering around a table full of love.

Con profundo dolor y amor eterno, anunciamos el fallecimiento de Dolores Peralta, una querida madre, abuela y amiga, quien partió de este mundo en paz el 25 de abril de 2025, a la edad de 74 años.

Nacida en la vibrante ciudad de Cuenca, Ecuador, Dolores llevó el espíritu de su tierra natal en todo lo que hacía — en su calidez, su fortaleza y su inmenso amor por su familia. Mujer de una resiliencia silenciosa y una compasión infinita, construyó una vida llena de fe, alegría y entrega desinteresada hacia los demás.

Dolores era conocida por su corazón generoso y su increíble habilidad de hacer que todos se sintieran amados y bienvenidos. Su hogar siempre estuvo abierto, su mesa siempre llena, y sus brazos siempre dispuestos a abrazar a quienes lo necesitaran. Se sentía profundamente orgullosa de sus raíces, compartiendo con amor las tradiciones, historias y sabores de Ecuador con quienes más amaba.

Más allá de su profundo amor por su familia, Dolores encontró su mayor alegría en su fe católica. Su devoción a La Virgen del Cisne fue la luz que guió cada paso de su vida. Vivió su fe con humildad y alegría, enseñando con el ejemplo — con paciencia, bondad y un espíritu inquebrantable lleno de oración y confianza en Dios.

Dolores deja tras de sí a su hija Silvia Peralta, su yerno Juan Pizarro, sus nietos Brayan, Janice y Josue, así como muchos otros familiares y amigos queridos. Se reúne en la paz eterna con su madre Rosa Peralta, su hermano Arturo Peralta.

El velatorio de Dolores se llevará a cabo el martes 29 de abril de 2025 de 4:00 PM a 7:00 PM, y la misa de su vida se celebrará el miércoles 30 de abril de 2025 a las 10:00 AM en la Iglesia de Saint Mary’s en Wappingers, donde nos reuniremos para honrar su memoria y el hermoso legado que deja.

Aunque nuestros corazones lloran su partida, estamos agradecidos por los innumerables recuerdos, lecciones y muestras de amor que Dolores compartió con nosotros. Su espíritu vive en cada vida que tocó  en cada acto de bondad, en cada historia contada, en cada oración susurrada, y en cada reunión familiar alrededor de una mesa llena de amor.
