Obituary of Louise P. Dalton

Louise P. Dalton, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 87.

Daughter of the late Raymond H. and Frances Hicks Pike, she was born April 25, 1938 in Poughkeepsie. Prior to her retirement, she was an administrator at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church. She had also been an Administrator and EMT with Sloper Willen Community Ambulance and had been involved in the Dutchess County Emergency Medical Services Council.

In addition to working at Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, she also attended and was involved in the church’s activities. Louise enjoyed gardening flowers and taking care of her yard. She enjoyed listening to country music. She will be remembered as a caretaker, always taking care of others.

Survivors include her children, Kevin Dalton of Poughkeepsie, Kathleen Woodin and her husband, Ralph of High Point, North Carolina and Linda Dalton of Poughkeepsie; her grandchildren, Jessica Woodin (Tim Flinchum) and Brian Woodin; her great-granddaughter Alaina Flinchum; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her brothers, Francis, Raymond and Herbert Pike.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 30, 2025 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

Memorial donations may be made to Poughkeepsie United Methodist Church, 2381 New Hackensack Road, Poughkeepsie, NY 12603.
