Dear Margaret and Family,
Heartbreaking to hear of your true loves passing. I thought, when he would visit you at the hospital, what a beautiful couple you made! One could see the love between you and Donnell. I knew right away that he was a family man, dedicated to you, your children and all the kids you brought into your home to care for. I imagine that he was a great role model and touched many lives. I remember going to your son's wedding all those years ago, what a gracious man Donnell was to Frank and I. You, Margaret, are the heart of your family and Donnell will always remain there.

A very hard working, gentle man, an honor to have known him. He and I had many long, meaningful conversations that often left me enriched with his wealth of life experience and down to earth personality. I’ve always thought that he and Margaret complemented one another, often witnessed those moments between them that brought a smile to both of their faces without saying a word! My sincere condolences to Donnell’s family. I am so sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with Donnell for many years at Vassar. Working in the engineering dept, Donnell came to my rescue more times then I can remember, when ever we had leaks, floods, over flowing toilets, Donnell would be right there to help us clean up.
