Thomas M. Halloran, Jr. beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully at his home with his family by his side on September 8, 2025.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on February 10, 1935 to Thomas M. Halloran and Evelyn DeSane (Munday). Tom met the love of his life, Caroline at the age of 11 and they were married December 18, 1955. He proudly served in the United States Army before beginning a long career as a science teacher and Driver Education instructor. He enjoyed golf, skiing, camping, working in his yard and spending time outdoors. He spent years active in his church, had a strong faith and was active in his community. Tom and Caroline enjoyed many traveling adventures later in life.
Thomas is survived by his devoted wife, Caroline Rose Halloran (Westervelt) and his children Kevin, Suzanne and Colleen. He is also remembered with love by his late daughter Nancy, who passed away too soon. He was a proud grandfather to Christina, Kevin, Ashley, Lauren and Nick, and a cherished great-grandfather to Brianna, Cayden, Kai and Levi.
Visiting hours will be held from 9:30 am to 11:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00am on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will then follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, South Avenue in Poughkeepsie.
