Philomena “Phyllis” Foy (née Rogers) affectionately known as “Weezie,” beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 14th, surrounded by her devoted family in Poughkeepsie, New York.

A longtime resident of Fishkill, Phyllis was born in Bailieboro, County Cavan, Ireland. She immigrated to the United States in the early 1960s and in 1963, met the love of her life, William Foy, who was also from Ireland. They married in May 1965 and built a beautiful life together in Westchester and Dutchess Counties.

Phyllis was known for her quick wit, wonderful cooking, and lovely singing voice. Her warmth, humor, and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.

She was predeceased by her sisters, Rita and Marie, and her brothers, Roy and Tom. She is survived by her loving husband, William; her children, Annmarie Concha (Gabriel), Aimee Hahne (Jason), and John Foy; her brother, Paddy Rogers; and her five cherished grandchildren—Benjamin, Ava, Fiona, Oscar, and Mabel. She also leaves behind many beloved extended family members and dear friends.

Phyllis will be deeply missed by all who had the joy of knowing her, especially her family, to whom she often said, “I love you more, more, more.”

Family and friends will gather from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, October 17, 2025 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. 

A funeral mass will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, October, 18 at St. Mary Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street in Fishkill.
