Noreen Susan Ferrara joined the love of her life Daniel Martin Ferrara in eternal rest on Sunday, October 26th, 2025 after a short battle with an illness.

Noreen Susan Heffernan was born on April 26th, 1950 to Michael and Elsie Heffernan of the Bronx. She was one of 4 children, in a proud Irish-Catholic family. She graduated from St. Helena High School in the Bronx, and attended Dutchess Community College where she received her Associate in Arts for Nursing. She worked as an LPN over 3 decades, specialising in both geriatric and pediatric care. She took pride in caring for others, including her children, and many grandchildren.

Noreen was a proud Roman Catholic, and her faith in Jesus and the Holy Trinity were the cornerstone of her life, beliefs, and how she raised her family. She was a dedicated mother, spouse, grandmother, aunt, great-grandmother, and friend. She was tenacious, outspoken, and she often broke the mold of a typical mother, spouse and catholic girl. Her love of reading, mahjong, and puzzles brought her joy throughout her life, as did being with family, mystery books, and coffee with 7 Splenda!

Noreen married the love of her life, Daniel Martin Ferrara, on April 12th, 1970.

Noreen is survived by her three sons, Daniel Ferrara and his wife Victoria of LaGrange, NY, Michael Ferrara and his wife Alissa DeLucia of Poughkeepsie, NY, and Eric Ferrara and his wife Lani of Poughkeepsie, NY; her daughter, Jennifer Ferrara; her granddaughter, Alexis Ferrara; grandson, Jackson Ferrara; granddaughters, Olivia Ferrara, Daniella Ferrara, and Isabelle Ferrara; great grandson, Theodore; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Noreen was predeceased by her husband, Daniel of Pleasant Valley, NY, and her brothers, John Heffernan of East Stroudsburgh, PA, and Dennis Heffernan of Howell, NJ.

Family will receive their friends on Saturday, November 1, 2025 from 2 to 6 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
