Sheryle Rae Jennings was born on October 29,1954 at Vassar Brothers Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Locke Jennings of Barton, VT and the late Raymond Jennings of Cascilla, MS. She was also predeceased by a brother, Raymond Jennings, Jr. of Wappingers Falls, NY.

The Jennings family attended the United Methodist Church of Wappingers Falls, NY.

Sheryle attended schools in the Wappingers Central School District. She worked for Grand Union for many years. In 1978, she moved to Memphis, TN where she attended the State Technical Institute. She graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Computer Accounting Technology. After moving back to Poughkeepsie in 1983, she went to work for IBM Poughkeepsie Employees Federal Credit Union for 31 years. While there she met her best friend, Dawn Macak, who became a sister to her. In 2017 she retired. It was then that she took a part-time job at Matthew’s Hallmark in the Galleria Mall, a job she truly loved.

She is survived by her sister-in-law, Charlene Jennings of Wappingers Falls, NY; niece, Wendy Jennings, her son, Arnold Williams of Wappingers Falls and her daughter, Raylene Williams of Poughkeepsie, NY; and nephew, Raymond Jennings III, his son Raymond “RJ” Jennings IV, a daughter, Sarah Jennings, and a second son, Thomas Jennings, all of Ossining, NY.

Sheryle would like to say a special thank you to Dottie, Connie, Frank, Ernie, Ronnie, Cate, Cyndi, Julia, her many cousins, her wonderful neighbors and her great co-workers at Hallmark.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 26, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 12 noon at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. 

A funeral service will take place at 12 noon following visitation, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
