Sofia Danielle “Violet” Simone, 19, of Wappingers Falls passed away on January 29, 2026.

Born on October 2, 2006 Sofia was the cherished daughter of Courtney Paolilli (predeceased 2020) and Eric Simone. She grew up with an irrepressible spirit, a keen eye for beauty, and a heart that drew people in effortlessly.

From a young age, Sofia faced life's challenges with remarkable grace and determination. She persevered through obstacles, inspiring those around her with her quiet strength and remarkable wit. She taught friends, family, and even strangers what true resilience looks like—not in grand gestures, but in the daily choice to find joy, connection, and meaning.

Sofia had a profound love for music that filled her days; she shared her knowledge of artists and songs that captured exactly what she felt or wanted others to feel.

Above all, Sofia cherished her family. After the devastating loss of her mother in 2020, she became the emotional center that held everyone together—the reason to gather, to laugh, to remember, and to keep moving forward. Her sister Julia was her constant companion, confidante, and second mother; their bond was profound, protective, and full of shared light. Sofia's family orbited around her warmth and presence; she was the glue that bound them through grief and beyond.

Her beloved pets, Bella and Dwight, were never far from her side. They followed her with devotion, curled up beside her, and received her gentle affection in return. In their eyes—and in hers—they were family too.

Predeceased by her beloved mother and grandfather, Sofia is now reunited with them in peace, free from limitation, embraced in the love she always carried.

She is survived by her father Eric and her sister Julia and a wide circle of grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who adored her and whose lives she enriched immeasurably.

The world lost someone truly special far too soon, but those fortunate enough to have known Sofia were given an extraordinary gift. Her light continues in every memory, every song, every story shared in her name.
