Madeline Buonanno Obituary

Madeline Buonanno, a former resident of the Bronx, entered into rest Monday, February 2, 2026 at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was 95.


Daughter of the late Pasquale and Maria Cippolone Ferola, she was born June 7, 1930 in the Bronx. She was married to the late Carmine Buonanno who preceded her in death in 1977.  Prior to her retirement, she was a school aide in the Bronx.


She was a hard worker and grateful for everything in her life. Madeline will be remembered as a loving and caring person who had a heart of gold. She enjoyed traveling and socializing. She was also an animal lover.


Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Buonanno and daughter-in-law, Brenda Bilyou; her grandson, Joseph Albanese; and nephews Leonard and Justin. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter, Camille Albanese.


Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate on Sunday, February 8, 2026 from 2 to 4 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 9 at St. Mary’s Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery, Lafayette Avenue in the Bronx.
