Jill VanDemark, a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, New York passed away unexpectedly at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on March 5, 2026. She was 68 years old.

Born January 1,1958, she was the youngest child of Gordon and Selma (Ruf) VanDemark.

Jill was a graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School and employed as a dedicated bus driver for many years with the Arlington Central School District at the time of her death. She also enjoyed her longstanding part time job at NAPA Auto Parts.

Over the years she found joy skiing, playing softball, and trips to the beach. Her greatest joy however were the many students she met and transported on a daily basis with the school district.

Jill was the beloved sister of Beverly Davidson, Linda (Steve) Taft, Gary (Linda) VanDemark, and Rickey VanDemark who survive. She is also survived by her nieces, nephews, and several cousins. She was predeceased by her parents.

Jill was well known for her infectious laugh, carefree spirit and kindness to all. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at Wappingers Falls Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls, NY.
