Mary Ann Datres passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her children on March 16, 2026. She was a loving wife to Joseph (deceased) and mother to Wayne (Sue), Glen (Theresa), Karen (Paul) and Julie. Mary Ann grew up in Clinton, NY and moved several times with Joseph before settling in Wappingers Falls where she lived for over 5 decades. Mary Ann enjoyed spending time with her family, traveling with her husband Joe, tending to her vegetable and flower gardens, feeding and watching the birds, walking by lakes and oceans, and being cozy while watching Hallmark movies.
Her final days were spent at home comforted by Hudson Valley Hospice, loved ones, and her beloved cat, Dewey. Mary Ann was loved and held dear by all who knew her.
The family will honor her at a later day with a private memorial. Donations to Hudson Valley Hospice Foundation, 80 Washington Street, Suite 204, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 can be made in her name.
