Carolyn Marie Ross, a longtime area resident, entered into rest Tuesday, March 17, 2026 at Hudson Valley Hospice House in Hyde Park. She was 57.

Daughter of Karen Miller, she was born December 25, 1968 in Ballston Spa, New York. Carolyn worked at Burlington Coat Factory in Poughkeepsie. She enjoyed vacations, especially visiting the beach. Carolyn loved music and attending concerts. Prior to her illness, she will be remembered as an active and outgoing person.

Survivors include her son, Matthew Ross and his wife, Christina of Poughkeepsie and her grandson, Matthew Allen Ross, Jr. of Poughkeepsie.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A graveside service will follow at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
