Richard P. Stacey, Sr.  a forty-eight year resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Middletown, entered into rest Sunday, March 29, 2026 at his home. He was 76.

Son of the late Edward P. and Florence D. Evans Stacey, he was born January 19, 1950 in Middletown, New York. He married the former Dawn E. Kane on July 22, 1979 in Wappingers Falls. Mrs. Stacey survives at home in Wappingers Falls.

Prior to his retirement, he worked at IBM in East Fishkill, owned and operated delis in LaGrangeville and New Windsor and lastly worked security at Poughkeepsie Galleria Mall.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Richard P. Stacey, Jr. of Westbrookville, William Stacey of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Dara M. Kane of Wappingers Falls, Brian Durbin and his wife, Michelle of Grahamsville, New York and Brandie M. Stacey of Wappingers Falls; his sisters, Darlene Wunders of Illinois and Colleen Eggleton of Otisville, New York; his step-sister, Toni McGibbon of Middletown; his grandchildren, Aiden, Christian, Heather, Brianna, Crystal, Kevin, Dallas, Richard, Justin, Dezaray, Sylvia, Jayce, Shayne, Ryan, Tyler, Kaylae and Enrique; several great-grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will gather on Friday, April 3, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 4 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
