Debra Schmults, beloved child, mother, wife, and friend, age 58 of Wappingers Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on April 20th, 2026 after her courageous battle with cancer. Debra was born in Queens, NY on September 4th, 1967. She grew up in Brewster, NY where she formed life long friendships and memories. 

Above all else, she was a devoted wife and mother. She poured her energy and love into her three daughters, raising them with strength and bravery. Her love was constant and unwavering. 

Debra is survived by her parents, Linda and Richard Ferrero; her devoted husband, John Schmults; her three beautiful daughters, Kaylee, Tori and Emma; her siblings, Richard, Jr. and J.J. Ferrero; and dogs, Harvey and Apollo. 

Debra will be remembered for her loving spirit, quick wit, kind heart, and perseverance. She brought joy and laughter to all she encountered no matter the circumstance. Her strength throughout her illness was an inspiration as she faced each day with grace and courage. Throughout her battle, her spirit and love never wavered. 

To honor her memory, a wake will be held on Friday, April 24th from 4:00pm - 8:00pm at Straub Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, her family asks that donations be made to any local animal rescue to support her love and compassion for animals. 

She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
