Charles “Chic” Nadell, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Thursday, April 23, 2026. He was 89.

Son of the late Frank and Gloria Trentacosta Nadell, he was born January 7, 1937 in Astoria, New York. Chic proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged in 1962.  On June 29, ­­­­1963 he married the former Judith Ford at St. Patrick’s Church in McAdoo, Pennsylvania. Mrs. Nadell preceded him in death on August 24, 2022.

Prior to his retirement, he was a teacher at Hendrick Hudson High School in Montrose. He was an avid golfer and a lifelong New York Giants fan (even in the bad years).

Survivors include his children, Alison Nadell of Leicester, MA and Andy Nadell and his wife, Dorothy of Pleasant Valley; his granddaughters, Molly and Maggie; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his brother, John Nadell.

Family and friends will gather to remember and celebrate Chic on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home. Interment will be private at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
