Nancy E. Pape Obituary
Nancy E. Pape, a thirty year resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Fishkill, entered into rest Satuday, April 25, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 71.
Daughter of the late Robert and Patricia Weinsheimer Brown, she was born January 21, 1955 in Cold Spring. Nancy proudly served her country in the United States Army in the 1970’s.
On October 28, 1978 at St. Peter’s Church in Hyde Park she married William J. Pape. He survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Prior to her retirement in 2010, Nancy was a corrections officer for Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office for twenty-five years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, William D. Pape and his wife, Kristie of Wappingers Falls and Riley Riedener-Pape and his wife, Sarah of Kingston; her sister, Sue Schneider of Wappingers Falls; her brother, David Brown of Vancouver, Washington; her grandchildren, Dominic, Madison, Abigail and Damien Pape; as well as nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will gather on Friday, May 1, 2026 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A graveside service will follow at 11:30 a.m. at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street in Wappingers Falls.
