Jack L. Moss, a twelve year resident of Surfside Beach, South Carolina and formerly of Hopewell Junction, entered into rest Saturday, May 2, 2026 in Myrtle Beach. He was 80.

Son of the late George and Cynthia Barnett Moss, he was born April 9, 1946 in St. Louis, Missouri. Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1970.  On September 25, 1971 in Queens he married the former Lucille D’Arienzo. Mrs. Moss survives at home.

He worked as a postal clerk until his retirement in 2001 after thirty years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Church in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Stephen Moss of Vermont and Matthew Moss and his wife, Jessica of Wappingers Falls; as well as his two grandsons, Donald and Daniel.

Family and friends will gather on Wednesday, May 13, 2026 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 14 at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Road in Hopewell Junction.
