Alexander S. Bartlett Obituary
Alexander S. Bartlett, a resident of Wappingers Falls, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, May 9, 2026 at his home. He was 51.
Son of Curtis H. and Lenna Edes Bartlett, he was born May 16, 1974 in Fairfax, Virginia. Alex graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia in 1992 and went on to graduate from Wagner College in 1996 with a BA in Set Design. He married Vincent P. Cuccia in February of 2018. Vinnie survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
Alex worked on countless Broadway shows for over twenty years as a dresser and wardrobe supervisor. He was a costume designer and owner of Planet Pepper. He was involved with Imperial Court of New York helping to support the LGBT+ community. Alex enjoyed knitting, gardening and doing home repairs. He loved and supported community theater. Music was another of his joys. Alex has been described as a light and was known to be generous and giving. He will also be remembered for creating laughs with his sense of humor. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his husband, Vincent P. “Vinnie” Cuccia at home in Wappingers Falls; his parents Curtis and Chris Bartlett of Falls Church, Virginia; his brother, Derek Bartlett; his twin brother, Taylor Bartlett; his sister-in-law, Joanne Fenton; numerous nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs, Buddy and Blake.
Family and friends will gather on Monday, May 25, 2026 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls to remember and celebrate Alex.
