Edward J. Kenny Obituary
Edward J. Kenny, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Thursday, June 18, 2026 at home surrounded by family. He was 88.
Son of the late John and Helen Carey Kenny, he was born December 17, 1937 in Queens. He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. He married the former Ellen Klug on August 21, 1965 at Our Lady of Peace Church in Lynbrook, New York. Ellen preceded him in death on January 8, 2002.
Prior to his retirement, Ed worked as a history teacher at Putnam Valley Junior High School. He was an avid golfer in his free time.
Survivors include his children, Robert Kenny and his wife, Suzanne Gross of Cranbury, New Jersey, Brian Kenny of Wappingers Falls and Kathleen DiGiorgio and her husband, Joseph of Hopewell Junction; his grandchildren, Colin, Corey, Jeremy, Andrew, Jessica and Michael; as well as several nieces.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Janet Lewis.
Services will be private.
