Rosemarie Perillo, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Saturday, July 18, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 80.

Daughter of the late Edward and Margaret Mitchell McCormick, she was born May 15, 1946 in the Bronx. On August 24, 1968 in the Bronx, she married John Perillo. Mr. Perillo survives at home in Wappingers Falls.

Rosemarie worked as a Nurse at St. Francis Hospital and later an Activities Leader at Fishkill Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing in Beacon. She was devout in her faith and a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie. Rosemarie will be remembered as an avid Notre Dame fan, as well as the Yankees, the Giants, the Knicks and the Rangers. She, along with her husband, loved to travel and enjoyed trips far and wide, and attended eight Olympic Games. Besides sports, Rosemarie loved to shop, craft fairs and had a passion for gnomes. She was a brightness to everyone around her. 

In addition to her husband of nearly fifty-eight years, John, she is survived by her children, Suzanne LaMarche and her husband, Shawn and John Perillo and his wife, Rachel; her brother, Edward McCormick; her sister, Denise Zungoli; her grandchildren, Anthony, Alyssa, Eli, Claire and Lainey; her great-granddaughter, Sadie; as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Kevin McCormick.

Family and friends will gather on Thursday, July 23, 2026 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A funeral mass will be offered at 9:30 a.m. on Friday, July 24 at St. Martin De Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road in Poughkeepsie.
