Fannie Raffaele, a resident of Wappingers Falls and recently of Fishkill, entered into rest Sunday, July 26, 2026 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 70.

Daughter of the late Anthony and Flora Mosella Bottone, she was born January 3, 1956 in the Bronx. On September 9, 1978 at St. Ann’s Church in Yonkers, she married John J. Raffaele, Sr. Together they shared 38 wonderful years of loving marriage before he predeceased her on March 10, 2017.

Fannie was a devoted Catholic and attendee of Mount Alvernia. She also was actively involved in several widows groups and seniors groups. She had a bright and vibrant personality that brought light to everyone around her.

Fannie is survived by her son, John J. Raffaele, Jr. and his wife, Elise and their sons, Jake and Justin; her daughter, Nicole Raffaele and her daughter, Olivia Clark; her brother, Vincent Bottone and his wife, Barbara; her sister, Annette Loscalzo and her husband, Joseph, Sr.; and her many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her 3 siblings.

To honor Fannie’s bright and vibrant force, the family asks that everyone wear bright colors for the services. Family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 29 from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery.

Memorial donations in memory of Fannie may be made to the Ovarian Cancer Research Alliance or to the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.
