It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Dr. Rasnidhi Ratanlal Sheth, who peacefully departed this life on August 2, 2026 at the age of 91 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on December 23, 1934, in Ahmedabad, India, Dr. Sheth dedicated his life to his family first then the practice of medicine and to the service of others. As a respected physician for over 40 years in the Hudson Valley specializing in Internal Medicine, he cared for generations of patients with exceptional compassion, wisdom, and unwavering dedication. Throughout his distinguished career in Highland, New York, he earned the trust of his patients, colleagues, and the community through his clinical excellence, humility, and  well-being of everyone he served, regardless of their ability to pay.

More important than his professional accomplishments, Dr. Sheth’s greatest devotion was to his family. He was the beloved husband of Renuka Sheth, whose partnership for over 60 years and love were the foundation of a life well lived. He was also a devoted father, grandfather, great grandfather and a constant source of strength, support, and unconditional love. He took immense pride in his family and found his greatest joy in their happiness and accomplishments.

A proud son of India, Ras remained deeply connected to his heritage throughout his life. He was a respected member of the Indian community and Hindu Samaj, generously sharing his time, wisdom, resources and friendship with new and existing community members.

Dr. Sheth is survived by his four loving sons: Snehal (Neal) and his spouse Megan, grandkids Isabella, Sophia Gabriella and Maxwell. Viral and his spouse Karamjit grandkids Jeevna/Ben and Preeya, and great-grand son Avinash.  Bijal and his spouse Christine, grandkids Kyle/Katie, Chloe and Devyn and great grand kids Cecelia and Cameron Ras. Nidhir (Nick) and spouse Seema, grandson Liam. 

The family extends its heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time. His memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.

May his memory be a blessing, and may his soul rest in eternal peace.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2026 at 1pm at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.
