(part of Erik's eulogy)
This is not the time for us to grieve Erik's death but its our time to celebrate his life. He never wanted to see people unhappy, especially his family, friends and his Wappingers Community in which he valued being a part of so much.
So at this time ...let each of us remember how Erik touched our lives. As we grieve the loss of Erik, let us be thankful that we were given the chance to have known such a fine young man named Erik.
We encourage each of you who knew Erik to increase your compassion for others and to have enthusiasm for life and all that it offers in the memory of Erik.

Erik was brought to our team by Tony DiNardi when he was about 11. At first Erik was shy, but he soon grew comfortable and confident by talking, socializing and playing with all the players of our over 30s team. He helped by warming us up, retrieving foul balls and being a batboy.
As the five years that we knew him passed, Erik grew to be a young man and we became friends. He was respectful, fun and thoughtful. He touched each one of our hearts in different ways and he will always be remembered.

What is it we remember when we think of Erik? I think everyone who knows him would agree with me on this. It was his sense of humor. Erik was a Boston Red Socks fan. I am a true Yankee fan. Erik would hide his Red Socks baseball cap in silly places throughout my home he knew I would come across, for example: my linen closet, my microwave, the cabinet I keep my coffee in...Erik knew I would come across his cap and chuckle and smile.
Erik was a very dear child. His smile, his spirit and his goodness will remain alive in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

We will remember Erik Terrelonge as a wonderful, kind, helpful person.
Every time Erik came over our house he brought a huge smile on his face and would greet me with kind respect. I remember one winter day when I was shoveling my driveway my daughter Sylwia came over with Tara and Erik. While the girls went inside Erik stopped and started to help me shovel the driveway, when I didn't even ask him to. There were many other occasions in which Erik showed his great kindness, and big heart.
We will keep Erik and his Family in our prayers, and thougths.
Our deepest sympathy. Niec family.
A Better Place
Hes in a better place right now
Than hes ever been before;
All pain is gone; hes now at rest.
Nothing troubles his anymore.
Its we who feel the burden of
Our sadness and our grief.
We have to cry, to mourn our loss,
Before we get relief.
We know well reconnect with him
At the end of each lifes road.
Well see his cherished face again
When we release our earthly load.
