Obituary of Eric R. Loncto

Eric R. Loncto Eric R. Loncto, a resident of the Town of Wappinger, entered into rest Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at St. Francis Hospital, Poughkeepsie. He was 52. Son of Raymond F. Loncto of Wappingers Falls and the late Edna Mae Jockers Loncto, he was born February 9, 1957 in Newburgh. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Eric enjoyed hunting and fishing in his spare time. He was proud to have been inducted into the Wappingers Central School District Hall of Fame for football. Survivors include his children, Stacey E. Virzi and her husband, Paul of Mount Kisco, Michael R. Loncto of Wappingers Falls and Kevin E. Loncto of Monroe; his siblings, Linda Holmquist of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, Diane Froman of Poughkeepsie, Bonnie Schafer of Warwick and Mark Loncto of Poughkeepsie; his grandson, Lucas Virzi and several nieces and nephews. . Family will receive friends on Saturday, January 16, 2009 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 p.m. during the visitation.
