Obituary of Serge Rodrigue

Serge Rodrigue Serge Rodrigue, 57, of Poughkeepsie, died unexpectedly on Thursday, November 25, 2010. Born in St. Prosper, Canada he was the son of Yvette Toulouse and the late Marie-Louis Rodrigue. Serge was a carpenter and worked at Village Crest Apartments in Poughkeepsie for seventeen years. He was passionate about the things that he cared about and was always there for his friends and family. Serge was the seventh of fifteen children. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his siblings, Rejean, Renald, Lise, Michelle, Francine, Diane, Martine, Gisele, Paul, Johanne, Sylvio, Andree and Estelle as well as his many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He leaves behind the woman who loved him, Angela Gioia and his step-family, Julia, Daniella, Vincent and Jonathan Gioia. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his sister, Josee. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Straub, Catalano and Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 29 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
