Obituary of Mary M. D'Olivio

Mary M. D'Olivio Mary M. D'Olivio, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Monday, February 21, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 80. Daughter of the late John and Ann Mabus Ostrom, she was born September 4, 1930 in Poughkeepsie. On July 9, 1950 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Beacon, she married Robert G. D'Olivio. Mr. D'Olivio survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Prior to her retirement, Mary worked in the cafeteria at Roy C. Ketcham High School for many years. She was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie. In addition to her husband, Robert; she is survived by her children, Donna M. Hochlowski of Wappingers Falls and Michael R. D'Olivio of Wallkill; her brother, Raymond Ostrom of Hyde Park; her granddaughters, Tara Hochlowski and Lisa D'Olivio. She was predeceased by her sisters, Jennie Ridgeway and Anna Bauer and her brothers, George and Sonny Ostrom. Family will receive their friends and family Friday, February 25, 2011 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 26 at St. Martin de Porres Church, Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations on Mary's behalf may be made to American Cancer Society, 2678 South Road, Suite 103, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 or Hospice, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
