Obituary of John H. Fraleigh

John H. Fraleigh John H. Fraleigh, 78, of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest on July 7, 2011. John was born in Rhinebeck, NY on December 16, 1932, son of the late John and Lillian Laurelli Fraleigh. John married Julie Anne Eckert on May 19, 1961 at St. Mary's Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mrs. Fraleigh survives at home. John worked as a tree surgeon for James Taylor Tree Surgery in Newburgh, NY. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1951 - 1955. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, John H. Fraleigh and his wife Cathy of Raleigh, NC, Christopher Fraleigh and his wife Sharon of Fuquay-Varina, NC, his daughter Virginia Savoie and her husband Maurice of Ayer, MA, and his brothers Robert Fraleigh, formerly of Rhinebeck, NY and Richard Fraleigh and his wife Kathy of Poughkeepsie, NY. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Joey Savoie, Molly, Ethan, Lilly and Sarah Fraleigh and several nieces and nephews. John was a beautiful and loving husband, father and grandfather. Family will receive their friends from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday July 10, 2011 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday July 11, 2011 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton St., Wappingers Falls, NY. Military Honors will follow the Mass at Church.
