Obituary of Jane Marie Griffin

Jane Marie Griffin Jane Marie Griffin, a 30 year resident of Seattle, WA, entered into rest Monday, July 25, 2011. Daughter of the late William H. Griffin, Sr. and Mae (Mary) H. Batura Griffin, she was born on May 16, 1929 in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Ms. Griffin had a very successful career in several states, settling in Seattle as Director of Nursing at Harborview Medical Center in 1981. Jane was an avid collector of antiques. She also enjoyed gardening, movies, bird watching and art. Survivors include two brothers, William H. Griffin Jr., and Daniel J. Griffin; nieces and nephews, Daniel J. Griffin Jr. and his wife, Linda, Nancy Gano, David Griffin, Mary Jane Griffin and her husband, Joe, Mark Griffin, and Karen Griffin; sister-in-law Florence Griffin; 8 great-nieces and nephews; and dear friends, Regina and Gordon Gray. A private graveside service will be held on August 6, 2011 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery in Wappingers Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Jane's name to the University of Connecticut School of Nursing.
