Obituary of Antoinette Fortunato
Surrounded by her family on September 21, 2011, Antoinette "Toni" Fortunato left this world to be with Pat, the love of her life, whom she married on October 12, 1941 in St. Philip Neri Church in the Bronx.
Toni was born Antoinette Marie Belvedere on September 29, 1918 in New York City. Toni was a wonderful, loved and cherished mom to three children, Roberta Grady, Christine Sena and Paul Fortunato. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by five brothers and sisters.
Toni loved animals, especially her cat, Cleo. She also cherished everything in nature. Toni was a wonderful cook; her desserts will be missed. She found great joy having family and friends over for many holiday dinners, birthdays and gatherings. Toni and Pat also loved to dance weekends at Glen Island Casino. Toni had a close knit group of friends and caregivers who made it possible for her to live at home. She will be greatly missed by many people.
