Obituary of Mildred Adeline Kruse

Mildred Adeline Kruse, a resident of Poughkeepsie and former longtime Staten Island resident, entered into rest Saturday, February 4, 2012 at her home. She was 73. Daughter of the late Francis J. and Adeline Bogart Stafford, she was born October 22, 1938 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey. Mildred was a Safety and Security Officer with ORMDD for thirty-eight years, retiring in 2008. She was proud of the fact that she was the first woman Safety and Security Officer. While residing in Staten Island, she was a member of the Women of the Moose. She is survived by her children, Debra Lindsey, Brenda Hackney and Paul Kruse; her sister, Bonnie Azzoline and her husband, Richard; her nephew, David Blair; her six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
