Obituary of Anthony S. Picciolo

Anthony S. Picciolo, Esq. a prominent attorney and resident of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 70. Son of the late Guerino and Emilia Picciolo, he was born April 8, 1942 in the Bronx. Anthony was a practicing attorney, retiring from the Family Court System in Poughkeepsie. He is survived by his children, Emily Birnstill of Wappingers Falls, Toni-Ann Slagle and her husband, Brett of Wappingers Falls, Louie Fernandez and his wife, Cassandra of Astoria and Marc Anthony Picciolo of Albany; his sister, Cristina Fabrizio; his grandchildren, Elyssa Nott, Danielle Nott, Breann Slagle, Abigail Birnstill and Alexis Slagle as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Junior and Michael Picciolo. Family will receive friends Monday, September 10, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will then follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9, Fishkill.
