Obituary of Frank Ferreira

Frank Ferreira, a resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of the Bronx, entered into rest Friday, May 3, 2013 at his home with his loving wife by his side. He was 67. Son of the late Frank and Martha Ferreira, he was born October 17, 1945 in Manhattan. He married the love of his life, the former Rosemarie Andriach on September 16, 1972 at St. Dominic's Church in the Bronx. Mrs. Ferreira survives at home. Frank, a painter by trade, worked in numerous locations throughout New York City and most recently worked at the Wappingers Central School District. In his free time he enjoyed puzzles, fishing and hiking at Indian Lake in the Adirondacks with his son and friends. He treasured the time he spent with his sons and grandchildren teaching a new generation to fish. In addition to his wife of forty years, he is survived by his sons, Keith Ferreira and his wife, Heather of Holly Springs, North Carolina and Justin Ferreira and his wife, Brandie of Wappingers Falls; his sisters, Florence Trerotola, Marianna Hachet, and Martha Ferreira; his grandchildren, Quintin and Jackson Ferreira; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dog, Misty. He was predeceased by his brothers, Anthony Trerotola and Robert Ferreira and his sister, Lorraine Ferreira. Family will receive friends on Monday, May 6, 2013 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 7 at St. Mary's Church, Clinton Street in Wappingers Falls.
