Obituary of Frank V. Roviello

Frank V. Roviello, a resident of Wappingers Falls, entered into rest Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 70. Son of the late Ralph and Millie Roviello, he was born April 6, 1943. Frank proudly served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged in 1968. He married the love of his life, the former Rosalie DiPaola on January 15, 1966 at St. Catherine of Alexandria Church in Brooklyn. Mrs. Roviello survives at home in Wappingers Falls. Frank worked for IBM as a Software Engineer until his retirement. He was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Together with his wife, he was active in the St. James, North Carolina community. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading. He treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Alyse Passarelli and son-in-law, John Passarelli of Somers, Valerie Hatch and her husband, Edward of Lagrangeville, Joanna Censullo of Middletown, and Justine Laubenheimer and her husband, Greg of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Nicholas, Victoria, Alyssa, Shaolin, Julia, Joey, Isabelle, Evelyn, Dominic, David, Ryan,and Alison; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Ralph Roviello and his sister, Camille Gullo. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 19, 2013 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 20 at St. Mary's Church, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls.
