Obituary of Shirley A. Hess

Shirley A. Hess a resident of Poughkeepsie and former longtime New Hamburg resident, entered into rest Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at The Pines at Poughkeepsie. She was 84. Daughter of the late John D. and Audrey F. Miller Hess, she was born April 4, 1929 in Poughkeepsie. Prior to her reitement, Shirley was a Librarian at Grinell Library in Wappingers Falls. She is survived by her nephews, Robert J. Hess, Jr. and John F. Hess; her nieces, Nancy Ellis, Debbie Caldieri and Lisa Hess; her sister-in-law, Anna Hess; her cousin, Barbara Miller; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Robert J. Hess, Sr. Interment will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013 at Wappingers Rural Cemetery, West Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
