Obituary of Patrick A. Gasperini
Patrick A. Gasperini of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Saturday, August 3, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. He was 64.
Son of the late Pasquale and Christine Carozza Gasperini, he was born on January 8, 1949 in Yonkers. He married the love of his life, Julia Di Rubba on June 18, 1967 at Mount Carmel Church in Yonkers; Mrs. Gasperini survives at home.
Mr. Gasperini worked as a Senior Field Operator in the Bronx and West Electric Operations Department for Con Edison of New York in Eastview, until his retirement on February 1, 2004. He loved his family above all else. He was a selfless, smart, intelligent man who always put his family first, working extremely hard to make sure his family always had what they needed.
In addition to his wife Julia, he is survived by his son, Pasquale J. Gasperini and his wife, Susan of Poughkeepsie; grandchildren, Pasquale James (P.J.), Jonathan and Sophia; brother, Dennis J. Gasperini of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Rosalia Gasperini of Wappingers Falls; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Anthony J. Gasperini.
Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, August 6 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls.
A funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, August 7 at 10 a.m. Entombment will follow in the Poughkeepsie Rural Community Mausoleum, South Road in Poughkeepsie.
