Obituary of Irene E. Brady

Irene Elizabeth Brady Irene Elizabeth Brady of Wappingers Falls entered into rest on Thursday, July 21, 2005 at her daughter's home in East Fishkill, surrounded by her family. She was 87. Daughter of the late Edward and Valentine Ross Parisee, she was born on November 17, 1917 in Westport, Massachusetts. She wed her loving husband on July 24, 1939 at St. Peter's Church in Yonkers; they were married for almost 60 wonderful years. He preceded her in death, passing on June 6, 1989. Irene attended BMC Durfee High school and went on to graduate from St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Yonkers. She worked as a registered nurse for Yonkers General from 1947 until her retirement in 1981. Irene enjoyed many things such as gardening and cooking for her family. She belonged to Mount Albernia Church for many years and most recently was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. She was also an avid Mets fan. Survivors include her son, Edward Brady of Mahopac; his daughters, Maureen Krajeski of East Fishkill and Janet Viggiano and her husband, Joseph, of Wappingers Falls; her brothers, Leo Parisee of Fall River, Massachusetts; her sisters, Rose Lesnick of Payson, Arizona, Pauline Tripp of Kingman, Arizona, Loretta McCormick of Ranchos Palos Verdes, Calilfornia, Rita Kennann of Cypress, California and Doris Shurtleff of Fall River, Massachusetts; grandchildren, Walter, Michael and Christopher Krajeski, Joseph, Robert and Vincent Viggiano, Cheryl Brady and John MacKay; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, Francis, she is predeceased by her brothers, Edward and Armand Parisee and Peter Ross and her sister, Bernadette Debus. Family will receive their friends on Sunday, July 24 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Straub Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590. A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, July 25 at 12:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Irene's name to Hospice of Dutchess County, 374 Violet Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
