Obituary of Bruce P. Pisano

Bruce P. Pisano of Wappingers Falls entered into rest Friday, December 7, 2018 at Westchester Medical Center. He was 67.

Son of the late Michael and Hilda Robusto Pisano, he was born on September 4, 1951 in Mount Vernon. He married the love of his life, Kathryn Young on January 10, 1976 at Holy Family Church in New Rochelle. Mrs. Pisano survives at home.

Bruce owned and operated an accounting and tax firm in Wappingers Falls for over 25 years. He was also a longtime member and former Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 1646 in Wappingers Falls. In his spare time, he enjoyed relaxing and watching TV, especially MASH. He was known to be sarcastic and a jokester. Most of all, Bruce loved his family. He was an amazing husband and father. Spending time with his grandkids and being called “Papa” brought him the most joy.

In addition to his wife, Kathy, survivors include his children, Jennifer Brainard and her husband, Fred of Carmel, David Pisano of Poughkeepsie, and Jessica Macina and her husband, Larry of Wappingers Falls; his brother, Anthony Pisano of Connecticut; and his beloved grandchildren, Michael, Jack, Briella, Faith and James.

Family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 11, 2018 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at the funeral home; military honors will follow.
