Obituary of Linda C. Amodeo

Linda C. Amodeo, 69, of Poughkeepsie, NY passed away peacefully in her sleep on December 12, 2018. Born on May 5, 1949, in Poughkeepsie, she was the daughter of the late Vincent D. Amodeo, and Agatha Liggera. Linda was a lifelong resident of Poughkeepsie, New York.  She was both a private piano teacher, and publisher of children’s piano books. A 1967 graduate of Roy C. Ketcham High School, she pursued her music degree by attending Ithaca Conservatory of Music from 1967-68, transferring to SUNY New Paltz, where she graduated in 1971. With her music degree in hand, Linda taught many children their piano scales. Although Linda did not marry, she was always a loving Aunt devoted to her many nieces and nephews.

Linda is survived by two brothers and two sisters; Mariano V. Amodeo, Richard C. Amodeo, Maria Kirkland and Rose Marie McCabe along with her many nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Mass will be offered at 9:30 am on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie, New York. Interment will follow.
