Mr. Field (and he will always be Mr. Field to me) was the best. I remember a whole bunch of us going to the Saturday matinee at Imperial theatre and Mr. Field pulls up in the big yellow Caddie to pick us up. There were probably a dozen kids. We figured some of us would have to hoof it or just wait for another ride. But Mr. Field told us to all pile in. It was like a clown car! He was funny, easygoing -- he was a gem. And I miss him. Mrs. Field, Leigh, Jimmy, Janice & Eileen: You are in my thoughts every day. I love you guys.

Jim Filed was a very strong parent and community activist. I was able to know him as I coached his son James in CYO basketball at St, Mary's ,Wappingers Falls over 35 years ago. I also helped run the program where his children participated in basketball and cheerleading. He was a great fan and helped drive to the away games. He also helped his parish in many ways. I would see his name in the bulletin and local paper . We pray for Jim and his family during this time.

Jim and I growe up living across the street from each other on Simpson Place in Peekskill and were childhood friends through high school.
Jim was always the voice of reason, a loyal and reliable friend, and always a gentleman.
The memories of our childhood days in Peekskill will be with me forever.
My sister, Judy, joins me in sending heartfelt condolences to Ellie and all of Jim's family and friends.
