Don was the anchor on my first Reader's Bowling team. The anchor is the last person to bowl--the person you count on to come through, whether you're winning or losing. That was Don. We had many fun nights together, Don and me and Kathleen Kristan Sutherland, and the rest of the RD Bowling League. I still remember that Don's middle initial was P because his bowling ball said DPW on it. As a new employee and transplant to the area who knew no one, that bowling league meant a lot to me. My deepest sympathy to the family.

Big Don! We are going to miss you. If you ever had a question about a car and or if you were ever going to purchase a vehicle, you would call Grandpa Don. He was better then Kelly BlueBook and show me the "Carfax" was all grandpa Don... He was very knowledgeable in cars-sports & pretty much any question you had, he would give you the best advice... Going to miss sports conversations with you and going to games... Rest Easy.. love Sean-Tracey and Faith.

The loss of “Big Don” is a huge hit to our family we lost my husband, his only son 5 years ago. Big Don was an amazing father to Don & I we loved him dearly and cherished the time we had with him. He was a loving grandfather to all of our children Tracey & Sean her husband, Josh & Autumn his wife, Donald Jr, Austin & Logan. He was also a Great-Grandfather to Faith. Big Don was amazing to my entire family and his son’s friends in California and in Texas, he will be greatly missed and forever in our memories & hearts! Our prayers go out to all of his family & friends that he left behind.
