Nicole Colón

Obituary of Nicole L. Colón

Nicole Liberty Colón was gifted to this world on March 12, 1976. Her mother, Sandra Colón said that day it rained, snowed and then the sun shined; it was a little bit of everything. Nicole made every day and every season just as unique as that day she took her first breath. At 44 years young, on January 15, 2021, Nicole entered heaven way too soon. She lived a life where she exuded purest kindness and her heart knew no bounds. Nicole would be there for you no matter what and would listen not only with her ears, but with every fiber of her being and she was able to give you just what needed. Ask any of her family or friends and they can recall the countless times they had with Nicole where she made them feel like they were the most special person in the world. Incredibly intelligent and hardworking, Nicole put herself through online college and proudly graduated with a bachelors degree. She dedicated herself to the medical field and was working her way up the corporate ladder with the ultimate goal of becoming a hospital management administrator. She loved to feed people her home cooked meals, she threw down in the kitchen and made some beyond delicious Puerto Rican home cooking. Cherished by family and friends alike Nicole’s radiant smile could brighten anyone’s sour mood. She chose to live every day with gratitude on her heart and was always excited about the chance for every new opportunity. Nicole brought two wonderful children, her daughter Riana and son Brandon into this world and she was so incredibly proud of them. She then became a Yaya when her daughter gave her a beautiful grandson, Jax. They will all carry on her legacy. She also left behind her loving mother, father, two sisters, brother, many titis, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, as well as, her loving boyfriend Chris. So many people have reached out on how they can help or how they can honor Nicole, how they can give back just a fraction of the love she so readily gave. So we have chosen to create a go fund me page. The family is looking into options such as a special tree planted in a park or a bench in her honor like ones we see on the rail trail. May we all take a moment and remember Nicole and all that she brought to our lives and remember that she will always be watching over us from above. Our angel forever.
