Obituary of Nicholas P. Pingitore
Nicholas P. Pingitore, a 28 year resident of Wappingers Falls and formerly of Yonkers, entered into rest Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 77.
Son of the late Peter and Helen Yostrum Pingitore, he was born October 13, 1943 in Yonkers. He married his childhood sweetheart, the former Virginia Curio, on July 16, 1966 at St. Mary’s Church. Mrs. Pingitore survives at home in Wappingers Falls.
After thirty years of service, he retired from Technicon/Bayer in Tarrytown. He played in the Technicon Softball League and the Technicon Bowling League. He loved sports. He was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Fishkill.
Nick will be remembered as a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fishkill Rural Cemetery, Route 9 in Fishkill.
