Obituary of Jeanine Bohlinger

Jeanine Bohlinger of the Town of Poughkeepsie entered into rest Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at home. She was 77.

Daughter of the late Joseph M. and Elizabeth L. (Cavanaugh) Perusse, she was born on June 13, 1943 in New Hamburg. She married the love of her life, Henry Franklin Bohlinger onMarch 30, 1968; Mr. Bohlinger preceded her in death, passing on October 3, 2006.

Jeanine spent her years making a warm and loving home for her family. She grew up and made her home on the river before retiring to Poughkeepsie. In her spare time, she enjoyed painting.

Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Marie Bohlinger and granddaughter, Elizabeth Jasmine Perez of New Hamburg; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind the light of her day, her grand-dog, Duckie; they spent their days cuddling and sneaking treats.

Family will receive their friends on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 from 11 am to 1 pm at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 E. Main Street, Wappingers Falls, NY 12590.    

A funeral service will be held following visitation at 1 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Wappingers Rural Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
