Obituary of Jessica A. Bennett

Jessica A. Bennett, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie, entered into rest Wednesday, August 18, 2021 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. She was 72.

Daughter of the late James and Mildred Cochrane Bennett, she was born January 11, 1949 in Yonkers.  Prior to her retirement, she worked as Director of Human Resources for Wacoal America, Inc. in Lyndhurst, New Jersey.

Survivors include her sister, Barbara Lynch and her husband, Michael of Poughkeepsie; her nieces and nephews, Stacy Schroeder and her husband, Charles, Michael Lynch and his wife, Ashley, Karen Lynch and her partner, Tyler Snyder, James Bennett, Janine Bennett and Brooke Walsh; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, James Bennett and his wife, Kathy and Raymond Bennett.

Family will receive friends on Friday, August 20, 2021 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls.

A funeral service will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 21 at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the family plot at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 114 Sprain Road in Yonkers.

The family kindly requests that masks be worn indoors.
