Obituary of Margaret Ellen Vinson

Margaret E Vinson, best known as Peggy, has left us and went to see her heavenly father on October 30th. Peggy loved the Lord, her family, hearts, and yellow roses. She left behind her best friend and life partner, Harry Vinson Jr, who she loved very much. She had two children, a son Harry Vinson and a daughter Nicole Ogunbe who gave her 13 grandchildren: Isaiah Vinson, Kiara Vinson, Zaire Vinson, Amira Vinson, Elisha Vinson, Jaiel Conyers, Janiyah Vinson, Syria Vinson, Sanyi Vinson, Keziah Ogunbe, Keturah Ogunbe, Andrew Ogunbe, Kelaiah Ogunbe and her great grandson, Isaiah Vinson Jr, all of which she loved very much. She also left behind brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many many friends. Peggy worked at Greenhaven correctional for many years, a job she loved and took pride in. Everyone who knew Peggy knew she had a big heart and love for people. She would have given the shirt off her back for someone. She was always there to be a shoulder to cry on or ready to give words of encouragement and prayers. Peggy was a great mother, nana, and friend and touched the lives of many people in her time here on Earth. She will forever be missed.

Family and friends will gather from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Straub, Catalano & Halvey Funeral Home, 55 East Main Street in Wappingers Falls. A time to share remembrances will begin at 5:30 p.m. during the visitation.
